Located in the colonial city of Antigua, L’Osteria stands out from its historic surrounds with a bold modern concept. In a town of cobblestone streets and 17th century architecture, the project’s lively mix of design and arts programming creates a vibrant community gathering space within the UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The lounge and café is designed as a collection of intimate and varied meeting spaces. Small details in the design, from a carefully placed art object to the soothing trickle of a garden fountain, serve as invitations to relax, gather, and linger. At night, the central room opens up to host live music nights and special events.

Hand-troweled, ochre stucco walls form a textural backdrop to an eclectic palette of locally-sourced tiles, reclaimed furnishings, and bright upholstery that are curated alongside artwork and murals by local artists.

L’Osteria, in partnership with the adjacent Good Hotel, donates their proceeds to “Children of Guatemala,” a nonprofit which supports the children of the country through their education.
